Benchmarking Embodied Carbon Baselines for Building in Ireland by Construct Innovate
This report by Construct Innovate outlines the approach to collecting LCA data for Irish buildings and the resulting benchmarks. While sample sizes are small, these findings provide a first benchmark, highlighting the need for a standardised assessment method, a central data hub, and integration with existing software to simplify future evaluations.

How to establish Whole Life Carbon benchmarks by BPIE
This report by BPIE was produced as part of the INDICATE Pilot project and supports European and national policymakers in preparing for whole life carbon (WLC) regulations in buildings. It outlines the experiences of Czechia, Ireland, and Spain in developing measurement methodologies and establishing baselines, ahead of the 2028 EU requirement for life cycle Global Warming Potential (GWP) measurement.

Ireland National Policy Brief by IGBC
This policy brief, prepared by IGBC as part of the INDICATE Pilot project, provides an overview of whole-life carbon assessments within the Irish built environment. It summarises the development and application of the assessment methodology, presents the results achieved to date, and outlines our recommendations and proposed next steps.

Life Cycle GWP Assessment Methodology for Ireland by IGBC
The Irish Green Building Council (IGBC), as part of the INDICATE Pilot project, developed a prototype Life Cycle Global Warming Potential (GWP) Assessment Methodology for Ireland. This methodology has been applied to 50 current buildings to establish a baseline of the carbon impact of building activities in Ireland.

INDICATE Pilot Report: Developing a Data Infrastructure to Obtain Reference Values, Baselines, and Benchmarks for the Whole Life Carbon implementation in buildings in Spain
This report by the Spanish national team presents a summary of the methodology, preliminary results, and lessons learnt from the INDICATE Pilot project in Spain, whose focus is on accelerating the data infrastructure for implementing WLC metrics in the building sector in Spain. It aims to provide a scientific-technical support to develop data of the national building stock harmonised with Level(s) framework and develop a robust national data infrastructure to conduct the WLC assessment, as well as providing agreed outcomes including reference values, baselines and benchmarks, contributing to the integration of the WLC in policy makers' decisions, existing regulations, and market innovation, involving key actors from representative regions in Spain and creating a multi-stakeholder network.

INDICATE Pilot Report: Whole Life Carbon Assessment of Buildings - The Process to Define Czech National Benchmarks
This report, conducted as part of the INDICATE project, aims to streamline the process of WLC calculation and establish a consistent national assessment method specific to the Czech context. The project encompasses various phases, i.e., a case study collection of office, multi-family, single-family, education, and logistic hall buildings, followed by the development of a comprehensive unified materials database, classification of building parts and uniform work with the bill of quantities, stakeholder engagement, an LCA of case studies with a sensitivity analysis, and WLC policy suggestions, including the quality of the project data, simplifications, and a benchmarks definition.
