The Irish INDICATE Pilot aims to influence national whole life carbon policy

The INDICATE Pilot in Ireland aims to demonstrate how collaborative research can influence national building policy. As more than 50 building assessments originally completed using the INDICATE methodology will now be reworked using the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) whole life carbon (WLC) methodology, set to become a national requirement under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

Luxembourg launches INDICATE LIFE with 25-project case study plan

The launch event outlined Luxembourg’s roadmap for WLC data collection, including plans to analyse 25 real construction projects as initial case studies.

INDICATE LIFE launches national design sprints across Europe 

Following the project launch in October 2024, the INDICATE LIFE team has travelled to four European countries to lead design sprints with national partners. These sessions brought together green building councils, research institutions and government agencies to assess each country’s whole life carbon (WLC) data landscape, identify key challenges, and begin developing strategies for the future.
